Kawari-Chirimen is a one of Chirimen woven by devising special twist yarn to overcome the drawback of shrinkage. It is characterized by being hard to shrink and less likely to wrinkle.
Chirimen is a fabric that uses yarn with almost no twist warp threads, and is alternately woven with tight S-twisted and tight Z-twisted weft threads. Therefore, with scouring, the cloth shrinks and the texture appears on the surface of the fabric with desired irregularities.
Gosho-ningyo pattern used for liner.
Goshoningyo is a doll for given to imprtisl court and palace for the celebration. Big head and white skin describes baby boy (girl).
