Meisen is a plain woven silk fabric. At the process of weaving the dyed yarns are intentionally shifted for blur nuance. This techneque called "Kasuri." Meisen was very popular between late Taisho-era (1912-1926) and early Showa-era (1926-1989.)
Vintage Kimonos may have stains, spots or fading. Conditions vary. Stains and spots may or may not come off with dry cleaning. Some are not really noticeable, but some are. Carefully check the photos before you commit to your purchase.
